Nominations - Board, Advisory Committees and Assessors

The CBF is seeking nominations for its Board, Advisory Committees and Assessor Pool.

The following voluntary positions are open for nomination:

  • Board of DirectorsResponsible for overall governance of the Community Broadcasting Foundation, providing direction on organisational objectives, policy and practice. Up to four positions will be appointed (2 x Sector Nominated Directors and 2 x Independent Directors).
  • Sector Investment Advisory Committee (SIAC) – Provides independent, informed advice on funding objectives, policy and practice, and considers Sector Investment funding processes. Up to three positions will be appointed.
  • Development & Operations Grants Advisory Committee (DOGAC) – Provides an independent advisory role in grants disbursement and the formulation of funding policy.  Makes funding recommendations on Development & Operations grants. Up to three positions will be appointed.
  • Content Grants Advisory Committee (CGAC) - Provides an independent advisory role in grants disbursement and the formulation of funding policy.  Makes funding recommendations on Content grants. Up to four positions will be appointed.
  • Assessors – Assessors independently consider, score and provide advice on Content and/or Development & Operations grant applications in accordance with the grant assessment process.

All positions available are for three year terms from 1 January 2018 - 31 December 2020. People can be appointed to the Board or each Committee for up to three consecutive terms.

Nominations are provided to members of the Nominations Advisory Group (made up of national Sector Representative Organisations) who provide independent advice to the CBF Board in relation to the nominations.  All appointments are made by the CBF Board.
